The Steung Siem Reap Hotel is the closest hotel to the Old Market and comes with true colonial French characteristics: wooden louvre french-windows and wooden floors complete with wrought iron balconies. The interior has elements of the 1930's art-deco and Khmer flavours. The original Steung Siem Reap Hotel was built in the 1920's and re-opened in 2005.
