Complete Adventure Vietnam
Traveling Vietnam is mostly done from North to South or vice versa, following the same stops for practically all tourists: Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An, and Ho Chi Minh City. Sometimes people add Nha Trang, Dalat or a beach destintation like Phan Thiet or Phu Quoc.
In our complete adventure of Vietnam, we like to add in a few more of those destinations and get you “comfortably out of your comfort zone”. Homestays, treks and exploration of caves are all part of the program that ends on a beach in Phu Quoc where you can unwind after almost 3 weeks of amazing experiences in Vietnam. Boats, trains and automobiles are part of the experience, but not just for travel, also for overnight stays! Did we capture your attention?
The tour starts in the northern part of the country where you explore Hanoi, the capital city that is a 1000 years old. You move to the valleys and villages of Mai Chau and explore Lan Ha Bay on an all inclusive 3D/2N cruise. Catch the train to Phong Nha and explore the caves of this amazing place in detail before relaxing in Hoi An for a few days. Visit more beaches off the beaten track and take the day train to Quy Nhon from where you fly to the south. In ho chi Minh City you wander the alleys of the city and get up close and personal with the local people. The Vietnam experience does not end here, as you make your way to the Mekong Delta and board a local Sampan on which you spend the night. End on a beach at Phu Quoc for a few days, an amazing end to your trip!
Length of Tour: 20 days
This comprehensive tour can be extended with stays in between the tour, at for example Ninh Binh. Pu Luong, Hue, Danang or Nha Trang. Although we may recommend to keep it as it is, if you have a few more days to spend, it is recommended to add either Ning Binh or Hue for 3D/2N.
Outline of the tour
What does our expert say about this tour?
“A more balanced program between comfort and local experiences, nature and culture and adventure and relaxation is hard to find I think. Vietnam is an amazing country with a lot of diversity in terms of nature and culture. This journey really shows people the best that the country has to offer. I love the way Hanoi and Mai Chau are visited. Even if people don’t want to do a homestay, the area still has good hotels and luxury resort to accommodate them. Going to Lan Ha Bay is a big plus. Where everyone turns right, we turn left. It allows for a truly relaxing cruise. And one of the more appealing places in Vietnam that is gaining a lot of momentum is Phong Nha. It is still not a main destination, which allows for pretty good off the beaten track adventures and caving. It may be a bit strenous with the night train, but it is worth the efforts! Besides, the train is super comfy! You can’t go wrong in Hoi An, and Quy Nhon is an amazing place to just chill out before the busy part in the South starts. That southern part is just beautifully designed with back alleys in the city and back waters in the Delta. Ending in Phu Quoc is a big plus as well instead of Phan Thiet. Definitely my favorite journey!”
