Colonial Buildings Indochina

Indochina is primarily known to be a French colonial region. Even though Thailand was never colonized, Cambodia was a protective rather than a colony, and Myanmar was primarily occupied by the British. The French definitely left an abundance of colonial gems behind in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. Also the British and Dutch are well represented in Myanmar and Thailand, and the Chinese in Vietnam (mainly Hoi An). Strolling through the cities makes up for a nice look into the past. But don’t be fooled, it’s not only the cities where yo can find these buldings… Places like Kep and Kratie in Cambodia, Salay in Myanmar and Dalat in Vietnam offer great architectural explorations if you enjoy the sight of colonial architecture.
