Mysteries of Myanmar

Myanmar remains a mystery to many. After opening its door to torism in 2012, the country saw a great influx of culturally interested travelers coming in to explore Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake. But beyond those highlights, the beaches of Sittwe, the northern territories that grant access to the Himalayas, the Mergui Islands (Myeik Archipelago) and the remote village of Loikaw offer even more off the beaten track experiences. Travelers found more than just beautiful places. A local population that is shy and curius, friendly and warm may be the real highligt of the country. It is sad that Myanmar has had several setbacks since then, as the potential remains tremendous. Don’t sleep on Myanmar, they will be back!
